Doreen Kawira Mugambi is a Town Planner and Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) expert with experience in spatial planning, development control, and environmental assessments across Kenya. She has contributed to projects such as Local Physical and Land Use Development Plans (LPLUDPs), feasibility studies, and EIAs, supporting sustainable and compliant urban development.
She specializes in stakeholder engagement, public participation, and preparing planning and environmental reports that inform decision-making at county and national levels. Doreen also has strong skills in project coordination and translating complex data into clear, actionable insights. As a co-founder of PlannersNest, she is committed to promoting public understanding of urban planning and advancing more inclusive, sustainable development practices.
Bruce Kitivo Makau
Bruce is an Urban and Regional Planning professional with experience supporting urban development, land governance reform, and spatial research initiatives across East Africa. He is skilled in GIS and spatial analysis, policy research, and multi-stakeholder planning processes, with project experience on World Bank and UN-Habitat programs. He has demonstrated the ability to manage field data collection, supervise research teams, and translate complex spatial and institutional data into actionable planning insights. Bruce is passionate about contributing to inclusive urban development, housing policy, and sustainable land governance systems.
Charity Chepkurui
Charity is an Urban and Regional Planning professional with a strong focus on design and spatial planning. She specializes in creating visually compelling planning outputs, combining data analysis and design tools to communicate complex ideas clearly and effectively. With experience in socio-economic research, field data collection, and stakeholder engagement, she is able to translate planning concepts into practical and visually engaging solutions. Charity has also worked on multidisciplinary projects across Kenya, integrating design, research, and policy insights. She is passionate about shaping inclusive, functional, and well-designed urban spaces that respond to real community needs. She is also a founder of Digital Hive , a web and graphic design platform.
